If you would like to connect yourself to the FramBroadband network then this guide is designed to help. If you already have your own equipment then connection is cheap, quick and easy.

There are many ways of connecting your computer to the network, some quite complicated, but use this guide as a starting point as it describes some of the simplest methods.

The FramBroadband network uses a wireless data transfer method called 802.11b or 802.11g, sometimes known as WiFi. You don't need to worry too much about what it is called or how it works, just that we use it to form a network without wires.

Quick Start Method

1. Insert a wireless card into your PC/Laptop (or use inbuilt WiFi)
2. Connect to a Wireless Network that starts with "FramBroadband"
3. Your wireless card will automatically obtain an IP address
4. If you get an IP address you will probably be able to connect
   on your laptop with no extra hardware
5. NOTE however that you may connect, but won't be able to surf
   unless you subscribe to FramBroadband!
